WET Stake Lease Agreement and Care Instructions

Refund Policy

  • Our refund and return policy lasts 60 days. If 60 days have passed since you received your WET Stake device, we cannot offer you a full refund.

Device Replacement Policy

  • While the $200 deposit is refundable when you return the device, it does not cover the full cost of the device. If your device is lost or destroyed, you will need to pay a replacement fee of $300 to continue using our service.
  • .If you believe your device has been stolen, please file a police report and send it to us. This will waive the $300 replacement fee.

Device Care and Responsibility

  • As a valued customer, it is your responsibility to take care of the device you receive from us. Proper use and maintenance are essential to ensure the longevity of the device.

1. Customer Responsibilities:

  • Proper Use: Use the device as intended and follow all guidelines provided.
  • Regular Checks: Regularly check the device for signs of damage or malfunction and report any issues immediately.

2. Care Instructions:

In Use:

  • Placement: Ensure the device is positioned correctly with the solar panel facing the sun for optimal charging.
  • Charging Check: Regularly check that the charge light is illuminated when sunlight is available.
  • Prompt Retrieval: Retrieve the device promptly once water has been detected to ensure it remains functional and to prevent damage.

Not In Use:

  • Storage: Store the device in a safe, dry environment to protect it from damage.

3. Damage and Loss Policy:

  • Lost or Destroyed Device: If the device is lost or destroyed due to negligence or improper use, a $300 replacement fee will apply.
  • Stolen Device:
    • Customers must file a police report regarding the theft.
    • A copy of the police report must be submitted to us within 30 days to waive the $300 replacement fee.

4. Refunds and Deposits:

  • A $200 deposit is required but does not cover the device’s cost. The deposit will be refunded upon the return of the device in good working condition.
  • If the device is returned damaged beyond normal wear and tear, deductions may be made from the deposit based on the extent of the damage.

Lease and Terms

  • The lessee agrees to lease each WET Stake device from the lessor for $0.00 as long as one of the following conditions is met:
    • A paid-in-full service agreement for each device.
    • Intention to purchase a service agreement for the upcoming watering season, with payment completed when due.

Return of Equipment

  • The lessee must return the equipment at their own cost within 1 month of the service agreement’s end if they do not intend to use the equipment for the following season.
  • If the lessee does not return the equipment and pays no service fee, a $50 fee will be deducted from the deposit.
  • If the lessee intends to use the equipment the next season but hasn’t returned it, they must pay an additional $50 deposit.
  • Failure to return the equipment for a second season will result in forfeiting the full deposit and billing the lessee $150 unless the equipment is returned.

Deposit

  • The lessee must pay the deposit amount listed on the invoice.
  • If all lease conditions are met, the deposit will be refunded in full at the end of the lease.
  • Failure to return the equipment will result in forfeiture of the deposit, and the lessor may pursue legal action for additional damages.

Warranties

  • The lessor warrants that the equipment will be in good working order upon delivery.
  • If the lessee is not satisfied within 60 days of use, they may return the equipment (at their own expense) for a full refund of the deposit and service fee.
  • In case of equipment failure, the lessor will promptly send a replacement at their expense. However, if the lessee fails to return the defective equipment or damages it through improper use, they will be liable for repair or replacement costs.
  • The lessor is not responsible for any water damage caused by equipment failure. Lessees should always implement a backup to prevent water damage.

Loss and Damage

  • The lessee is liable for lost or damaged equipment beyond normal wear and tear.
  • Upon reporting lost or damaged equipment, the lessor will repair or replace it at the lessee’s cost. The full replacement cost for one WET Stake is $300.
  • Damaged equipment must be returned or disposed of as specified by the lessor.

Equipment Use

  • Lessees agree to use the equipment as demonstrated by the lessor, in accordance with product documentation, or as described on our website.
  • The lessee is responsible for ensuring proper use by any employees or other users.

Equipment Tampering

  • Lessees must not open or unseal any part of the equipment unless instructed by the lessor.
  • The lessee is responsible for preventing tampering by others and will be liable for any damage or information breaches resulting from tampering.

  • Lessees are responsible for return shipping costs, which are non-refundable. If a refund is issued, return shipping costs will be deducted.
  • The time it takes for your returned product to reach us may vary based on your location.
